I’ve never played it again in all this time, but the Switch is giving me the chance, so I’m not going to shy away! This remaster ticks all the boxes in fact, it’s more like a remake. Metroid Prime is a legendary game, with a 97/100 rating on Metacritic in 2003, one of those games that revolutionized the genre, a metroidvania with a 3D, FPS twist, offering a crazy gamedesign, dynamic combat, well-balanced difficulty, art direction that was really up to scratch, a scenario that wasn’t neglected… everything was excellent.
